Response to Transcript #355

So, I read this huge 20 page transcript in like 3 sittings and honestly it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. I definitely pictured my self falling asleep or like not understanding it, but since I listened to it first, reading it was easier and I got to catch up on parts I missed in the actual radio part. I realized a lot of words I heard, were not the words said.. Anyway, as a response, I think that now I have a better understanding of the situation because now I understand the loans better.

A similarity from reading the transcript t actually listening, is that all of the experts still sound stupid. I don’t real think of them as mean anymore because by reading it I get a better sense of how clueless they were. This whole crisis could have been avoided I think. The other thoughts I had on this I said in class after I listened to it since reading it didn’t really change my whole perception because I knew the story and reading it just refined what I heard.

Welcome to Mahoney’s Fall 2011 Honors Comp Class!

We’ve done the face-to-face welcome, so I thought I would shoot over to our class blog and welcome you here as well.  I am looking forward to a very engaging semester and if class on Tuesday was any indication, you all seem up for the challenge!

Over the next few days, I will send each of you an invitation to join this blog as writers.  All of the invitations will be sent to your KU email addresses, so make sure you check them.  If you did not receive an invite, please make sure to check your junk mail because sometimes these invites get swept up in the university’s spam filter.

When you receive your invitation, click on the link provided and follow the instructions for joining the blog.  It will take a few days for us to work out all the technical kinks, but I will make sure everyone is up in running well before I ask you to post.

In the meantime, hope your semester is off to a fabulous start!
