The image we have stereotyped of a maid is a latino immigrant who is barely understandable. We poke fun at this stereotype and use it to make fun of these types of people. We not only do it to maids but those that pump our gas, and tech support. We classify all these people as belonging to a certain ethnic group, with not learning proper english, and with doing dirty jobs for low wages. Obviously these ethnic stereotypes are unfair an uncalled for, but sadly enough, sometimes they are true. I agree.
