I found the latest wo readings to be a very stark change of pace, I’m fairly certain that i tripped when I started reading it because they are very unlike all the other readings we’ve done. I didn’t know how to repond to them for the longest time, but our class discussion on Thursday cured me of that(kinda). I feel that while not influential to me personally, they do have a purpose in the way they try to achieve their ends, just by targeting different people. Both articles/excerpts. they are made more for informaing people, or influencing people who are more prone to the logos appeal. Both argumetns could be made with a more emotinal appeal, but then the author would have to sacrifice some of the facts, which might lessen the severity of the situation. Overall, not my favorite pieces in the world, but they have their place.
