I apologize for the delay on my blogging. If not everyone noticed, I was pretty much dying. What I have to say will pretty much be a reiteration of what everyone else has already said about the reading. I think as long as you have a television and listen to people talk you can tell what the conditions of Mexico are, as well as the conditions of our border control. Need to know more? Just watch Fun With Dick and Jane when they sneak Dick back into America along with about 10 mexicans. I liked how he made the abrupt transition from talking about Mexico to crossing back into America and showing just how different it is. I’m sure it’s quite a spectacle to see when you spend some time there and then come home. In my experience, it was enough culture shock to go from eating a piece of bread in Europe for breakfast and come home to my dad feeding me pancakes, eggs, toast, and waffles. I thought I was going to die. Americans are truly spoiled, and this chapter is just more evidence on how good we have it, whether we think so or not.
